Which do you prefer dressage or all purpose saddle? And Which kind of dressage or all purpose would you get if you got wintec brand. Also what size stirrups, girth, saddle, ect. would you get for a 5 ft. 4in. 14 year old and a quarter horse?

The wintec 500 with the interchangable gullet plates are a fantastic saddle for around a third of the cost of a good leather saddle.
They are hard wearing in nature, and the equileather simply wipes clean. So you don’t have to worry about spending hours oiling your saddle or cleaning with saddle soap again.
Either the Cair panel system or flock filled options are great. I did own a GP with the Cair panel system. This was great on my young clydie cross who was forever changing shape and was rather difficult to fit a saddle to as he was very broad and flat.
I would tend to be looking at a 17" seat. Girth well that depends on whether you purchase a dressage saddle or a GP as the girth points are different lengths, and also the barrel of your horse.
Generally a 15hh – 16hh med built horse should fit a 46 – 48" on a standard english GP saddle, or a 26" on a dressage saddle.
Stirrups should measure 3/4" larger than the ball of your foot when you have your riding boots on I have size 8 boots and ride with a 4 – 3/4" stirups you may only need 4 – 1/2" as you are quite abit shorted than me.
Happy horsing
Okie dokie… for you… i’d deff recommend an all purpose… you’ll get sick of the dressage really quickly… the all purpose is fantastic… i have a 2000 and i love it… i have the flocked interchanageble gullet one… its great for trail riding and messing around coz you can just hose it off… Ok… its really hard to tell you what size mounts you’ll need as you will need to try them out… i’d recommend getting a saddler to come out and fit it for you… then you can try out which girth you will need… i’d also recommend getting the size 3 webbers… better longer then you can make them shorter… then getting them too short… if your quater horse is wide you may need to get the Wide all purpose… so i’d really recommend getting the saddle fitter out… if you in aust i know horseland does it…
Dressage!
I have a Wintec Isabella Dressage saddle and it is the best saddle I have ever owned. It is extremely comfortable and fits everybody including all the horses at our barn. We can put it on my Moriesian, Mustang Pony, Haflingers, Missouri Fox Trotters, and our TWH. Okay and for girth..Just get a normal size. Their elastic girths are amazing! You probably need to measure your horse around to find proper girth size. All horses are different. We don’t know you either, you need to measure your self and go try them out at the store. If you are going to the tack store store bring your horse with you and have a custom saddle fitting or fit it yourself. You can normally do that.
The All purpose saddle makes you have the incorrect position. We purchased one at our barn and we never used it again.
The dressage saddles are the best.
hello
i had a wintec 2000
it was fantastic
coverd all my needs and had a changeable gullet just incase my horse changed shape
it cost me around £450 but it was well worth the money.
easy to keep clean to
ide go for that one
and dont count on people on here telling you the size. it is better for your horse if a proffesonal comes out to fit your saddle.
your horse will feel the benifit and he/she wont have back problems
good luck
I completely agree with Claire C! She’s right on the money!
Good luck!
